Com 210 was a very beneficial and educational class that I learned a lot of valuable information in. My favorite project that I completed throughout this course was the premiere video project. The reason that this was my favorite because I got to use many different things that I learned and used throughout the semester. I was also able to communicate with other people in the class and compare their videos to my own. After I learned how to use this program I had to create a video story for a group project and I was already ahead of the group because I knew how to use the program. One skill that I learned throughout this course that I found to be very useful was learning how to successfully publish a blog post. I learned how to keep readers engaged in creating content. The adobe programs were very interesting to me because they all use the same basic setting just presented differently and once you learn how to use them, you can develop skills in content creation. The logo project was very interesting to me as well because, I was able to try and create my logo from my design on paper and change it into a real logo using adobe illustrator. I also found out that focusing hard and taking your time to read the directions and watch the videos of how to use the programs were very beneficial to the unit. If I entered the area adobe programs before reading the directions I would not have a clue on what was going on during the video tutorials that is why I found it so beneficial to reach out to other kids in the class and do them at the same time as them so we can work on it together and understand how to use the programs. I am happy with all of my final projects in this class and would highly recommend it to another student.

Design Process
When designing this video and demonstration of pitching mechanics I show how to hold a baseball when you are pitching. I was trying to decide how to create something a little more energetic and fun for my club “Buff Bee Baseball”. I was originally going to use a voice over demonstration how proper pitching mechanics should be and how to hold a pitch while throwing it. However, I wanted people to be a little bit more excited to play baseball at an elite level and learn some of the basics. Instead of making a longer video shots of the different mechanics of baseball I wanted to focus on a single area. I decided that pitching would be a very good piece of the game because it is one of the most important. Buff Bee Baseball is all very enthusiastic and fun club because we always make sure that we do every thing at 100% that is why I recorded a section of a sound cloud song by Chopstar Dj and used the song “trophies” https://soundcloud.com/chopstardj/trophies-drake-ft-migos-dj .
Technical Detail
Once I decided on the design of doing the basic mechanics of pitching I had one of my buddies record me going through the motion of pitching mechanics. He recorded my pitching inside even though baseball is played. I created a zoomed in scale of a picture of me zooming in on my face with the baseball dropping down from the top to bottom for some dramatic effect. I added a title page saying “Buff Bee Baseball” while putting in a cross fade on all of my transitions from pitching to words so that they don’t always change abruptly so people the visuals are more relaxing. These were key to my addition of the video because it created a more professional look. When I was making the videos for the different pitches I added texts box that say what the pitch is and a short description of what it does. I could not make a good video on the flight path of the ball so I decided that a description would work just as well. Mechanics are a huge part of baseball so zoomed in shorter clips help my future members of the club. Buff Bee Baseball is all about developing elite players on and off the field which was hard to put in a informational video but This could be used as a ad to help recruit more athletes.

For my opening scene i am going to put my logo above my visuals of me holding the baseball.
Then i will voice over my audio and describe the pitching mechanics of pitching a baseball in the step by step process of throwing a baseball to a catcher.
Then I will voice over the different types of pitches and different ways of throwing a baseball to a batter and how the pitches will deceive a batter.

Design Process
For this Audition interview I was pretty stumped at the beginning of what I was planning to talk about during my interview. But, I knew that my friend Chris would be interested in me talking to him about having his child play club sports. Because Buff Bee Baseball is a club baseball team and lots of parents will be hesitant to letting their kids play because it does cost money to put your kid into a select or club sport and not everybody can afford it. But I wanted to talk about my club personally and discuss what I was looking forward to doing with their kids. especially discussing with the parents that Buff Bee Baseball is more than just a baseball club. It preaches hard on kids to be better on and off the field and especially with their studies. Chris also did a very good job of explaining what he did as a child and why he likes club sports and how they give kids a once in a lifetime experience.
Technical Detail
For the creating of the interview I used my phone to record the sound bits and sent them to my laptop because it created a better quality then if i recorded it directly off of my computer. I was trying to decide if I wanted to add a sound clip for the background and after experimenting with different sound bytes with putting soft music in the background but couldn’t find the right one that fit the sound and wasn’t distracting. For some reason every music or audio clip I would put in the background would be distracting to my interview so I decided to leave it out.

Audio Story Draft
For my audio story I created two main clips. My first main clip was me introducing what Buff Bee Baseball is. It is a multidimensional program for athletics for teenagers specifically Baseball. I use off the field morals that to preach towards my young men. We train all year long working shape our athletes into the best performing shape they could possibly be in. We also have really good intentions for our student athletes and make sure that they are doing well in their school work. I used my smart phone to record my clips and used them for the interview process. my interview with Chris is meant to be from a parents stand point. Most parents know that club sports are pretty expensive for adults and most kids cannot pay for them by themselves. I thought putting in an interview with somebody who has been involved with club sports would be a good idea because they could persuade people who have not had the same experiences that it is a great time and worth the commitment. It was also made sure that Chris when I interviewed him had heard the previous clip of me describing what my club baseball team stands for and what they are about. Chris does a very good job about describing how he had been a part of a club team and he really enjoyed and it was some of the best experiences he had growing up playing sports. I used some of the values that I have learned being in a fraternity here at WSU because one of our main values is S.L.A.G and this is where I got my main principals of Scholars Leaders Athletes and Gentleman. I hope that these audio clips can help me get my voice across that will go with my poster for tryouts and my logo.

Logo draft final
For my logo draft I have decided to make the logo for my baseball club “Buff Bee Baseball”. I created this logo with Adobe illustrator and the first thing I wanted to do was base my logo around baseball because that is what I wanted everyone to think of when they see the logo of my club. I used the curved line and a dashed line stroke to make the stitches for the baseball. I decided that I would make the baseball straight this time because it looked a little more simple and I thought it looked weird with the letters up above and put an arc above the words to give them a easier to read . I then decided to put a gold star around my baseball to leave it there by its self and i thought a star would be very good for finding top athletes because everyone knows that a star is a symbol of excellence. If you see a star on an athlete or a restaurant you know that they are very good or have great qualities. I then thought that my logo was too basic so I looked online for another something to put behind. I decided that wings would be something that my logo could use, I think that they give it a more exciting look and make my log bigger. I got the wings online from a tattoo designer that goes by the name of Darren Purdy. He is a Tattoo artist in the United Kingdom. Lastly putting the name of my club into the logo was very important to me because I want people to see my logo and know what the club is for and what they could look up to find my logo. I think that with the edits I made from moving the words of my logo up and arranging the baseball made my logo look simple but with qualities that make it look a better. I think that I am pretty happy with my finished logo and I could totally see it being on the front of a baseball hat.
